Receiving Mysteries by Pr. Christina Ang

One of the greatest ways to receive downloads from God is to yield to the Holy Spirit in praying in tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:2
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands Him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
Mysterious ways of God
In order to receive mysteries, we need to be connected to our Mysterious Awesome God. His ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts anywhere near our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). Trusting God and relying on His plans though our logical mind cannot comprehend it, enable us to receive the mysteries that are being unfolded.
Isaiah 55:8 & 9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor ar your ways My ways;’ says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
When we first had our son Asher, we didn’t know the plan God had in store for Him. We trusted God that regardless what vocation he ventures upon, finally he will serve God in God’s timing. We refuse to pressure our desires on him but taught him the way of the Lord from young. In the book Charisma, we explained how God amazingly showed him a portion of the glories of heaven that he experienced with great joy as a little child. That episode happened when Asher believed God’s protection & witnessed the powerful angels of God. At five years of age, he yearned to visit heaven, and God answered the child-like prayer and faith of the young boy. My greatest joy then was to see him being able to memorize scriptures and remember all the doctrines in God’s word that was taught to him. I was very happy when he got all Xs but that was not my focus. I would be overjoyed when he remembers the instructions in the Bible. I know that if he learns to keep God’s word in his heart and obey God, God’s favor and wisdom will crown all his efforts with success.

Asher’s life of miracles and revelation began as he began to pray in the Holy Spirit. God would give him many dreams and they would be so accurate. The prophetic dreams would unfold so precisely. Tongues – God’s tool for download
Dearly beloved, when we pray in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God who searches our hearts and knows our thoughts as well as the thoughts of God towards us helps us. He makes those awesome intercessions through us as we pray in the heavenly language.
Romans 8:26-28
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. There are many things we do not know. We only know in part but not in totality. God knows everything from the beginning to the end. The more we pray in the Holy Spirit the more is revealed to us.
The more we seek Him, the more we are rewarded.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

It seems easy to seek God, but in reality it is actually difficult. There are too many things that would distract us and try to take away our time with our Father. When the ministry grows, more events, more assignments, more programs and more friendships grow. Dearly beloved, we have to be careful not to let that steal away our precious time in seeking God’s face.
When one becomes a parent while holding a responsible position, time is a factor we have to juggle with. We have to have quality and quantity time with family as well as strive to succeed. It is even more demanding if we lack workers or do not have domestic help. Beloved friends we need to focus on what is of greater priority. Life is more valuable than wealth. Children need an impartation of life from their parents and not necessarily their wealth. However, most parents are busy providing the material needs for their children more than imparting life into them. Secular schools have provided an easy way out for most parents. The teachers are handed the responsibility to give the necessary training during the hours spent in school. In Malaysia for example, one classroom can easily contain more than 40 students. How can a teacher give quality attention to each of the 40 students? The hours given are just sufficient for teachers to teach the class but not to adequately give attention to every student. The ones who excel are naturally favored but the ones who find it difficult to comprehend lag behind. In order to cater for the lack of attention to their children, some parents put them in more expensive private schools. With the modern system, the teachers have a careless attitude with regards to the children’s behavioral patterns. Without parental instruction and training we create ‘monsters’ in our home. These children become rebellious and hard to handle. Deuteronomy 6:6 make it clear that parents have to diligently instruct the children in the ways of the Lord. ‘You shall teach them DILIGENTLY to your children …’
Special Children
Unless of course if the child is a special child that has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder (CD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or have other disorders that needs special attention, then parents most definitely, would need to understand the issue and need assistants to provide the best for their children’s well-being. I know of a mom who had a son who is a very bright lad however he has ADHD that results in tantrums and fits of anger. This son’s rage can be activated any time he feels challenged or distressed. I watch how with great grace she is able to calm this son without any medication. All her children are loyal and obedient to her. My respect for her grew knowing that such a talented lady could easily bring great income to the family, however she greatly values all her children including the difficult son and loves all of them unconditionally. She gave up her career to give her focus and attention on these precious God-given lives in her hands. This particular son could not be placed in a normal school. However, she takes extra effort to see to it that he and all her children are well taken care of in education and learn the handles of life to live well on this earth. I admire the price she has to pay but God continually rewards her and blesses her with tremendous grace for valuing every life, God had given to her.
Training children
Most parents of normal children however are reluctant to homeschool their children as it appears to be beyond what they can handle. Besides homeschooling concept is not widely accepted in Malaysia and most Asian countries, as parents are unsure if the children would be able to receive proper education. We trust our governments to teach and educate our children. With a non -Christian Government peddling anti-Christ ideology, our children are bombarded with such skewed education from young. However, if we study the scriptures carefully, parents’ responsibility firstly is to ensure that children know the scriptures and have a loving relationship with God. When we leave our children to someone else or an institution of learning in the most important years of the child’s development, we are not able to impart to them our love and the life of God that flows through us. We are back from work with little time to spare with them alone daily. This definitely affects the children’s development. The younger generation loses the fervor and faith that the parents have and this is not a good sign.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9
”And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Kindly note dearly beloved, that diligence in teaching our next generation requires a little sacrifice, a little more of our time and dedication. There are also many things we really do not know of our children for instance; their struggles, their behavioral pattern or the attention or input they need from us. Dear parents especially mothers; please note that a little price we pay for our children goes a long way. Though I had exposed my son to the home-schooling reading and writing materials from very young, he was later put to a Government Mandarin school from kindergarten to 3rd standard. We decided that we wouldn’t let him continue the following years in public school but homeschool him. We noticed that the children in the higher standards were stressed with too many hours of studying in school, tuition classes etc. It seemed like they were not enjoying their childhood. Besides, we felt the need to travel more together as a family and homeschooling would be of great advantage. After much prayer we felt the peace of God to take this step of faith.
The Prophecy
When Asher became homeschooled full-time, after being in school for 3 years, (Actually it is 3 years in kindergarten and 3 years in Primary school), I found it hard to deal with his character. I realized then that there are also many things we really did not know of Asher. There was a part of him that I had never seen before. He had been in school for 6 hours (7am – 1pm) and I had missed out on some character development that happened during those 6 hours daily. When we began to homeschool him, in the first six months I had to cope with my son’s behavior that was very difficult for me. He was 10 years old then. I started fasting and praying, asking God to give me wisdom on how to handle my son. One day after pouring my heart before God, I heard God say, “When your son turns 14, he will change:’ With gladness of heart I made mention of this word of the Lord to my husband Pastor Paul Ang
Though I knew it was the voice of the Lord and am familiar to His style of delivering His message to me, yet I prayed, “Lord, I believe but give me a sign to encourage my heart:’ In less than two weeks Pastor Thomas Cherian, a mighty prophet from India came on a surprise visit to Malaysia. Due to the short notice, we had a small prayer meeting in our home. He came towards me, laid his hands on my head and said, “When your son turns 14, he will change:’ I turned and looked at my husband with utter amazement.
The transformation
When Asher became 14 years old, he came to his dad with an announcement that he was going to eat salads, fruits and vegetables as his diet. He wanted to abstain from all meat except a little fish. We were concerned by his sudden decision and I prayed and asked God to help me understand. Then I heard the Lord say, “You asked me for a sign? Here it is:’ For this young lad of 14 years old, to give up meat diet meant, no more Kentucky Fried Chicken or McDonalds or Burger King or Ayammas (which is a favorite Malaysian baked chicken). It was a big deal for this teenage kid exposed to all these fast foods to give them up for 3 whole years. During these few years from 14-16, God began to mold his character. He spent hours reading the word of God and praying. He would have such a focus and zeal for his studies and do them well. God gave him over 60 songs during these 3 years. Some of his songs are in his album that he cut when he turned 17. A little price, parents, especially mothers’ pay for their children goes a long way. -Pr. Christina Ang
More Mysteries
In seeking God, further mysteries from Heaven were downloaded. At the second half of 2014, I had to encourage our 16-year-old son Asher to sit for SAT examination though he was reluctant. The online international Alpha Omega Academy (AOA), where he was receiving his education insisted it was time for him to sit for SAT examination. He had completed his grade 11 and going on to Grade 12. However, his exam was scheduled in December 2014 and the results were out in January 2015. When we got the results, I heard the Spirit of God speaking to me that Asher was going to USA, August 2015. I held back that information from my family because I didn’t want to appear pushing my son ahead of his timing. However, of five or six universities to whom the results were submitted, three replied with application forms. We chose Dallas Baptist University, as we were comfortable with a Christian University for the young man. Events unfolded very fast, and he got accepted and finally flew in on August 2015.
Prophetic word fulfilled
On February 2014, there was a prayer conference in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The Anglican diocese held this prayer conference and invited Pastor Paul and myself as well as another well-known Kenyan minister, Julius Suubi to speak and minister in this conference.
During one of the sessions, there was a word of knowledge that parents with single children should present themselves. We were there praying and ministering together with Julius and thought that we might as well respond to that word. Asher was called out immediately and an amazing word was given that God is going to fast-forward everything in his life. We saw that word unfolding itself in the year 2015. The prophetic word was given to Asher as he sought the Lord to confirm if he was supposed to cut the album. His dad, Pastor Paul Ang was reluctant to see him venture into this project knowing he had so much to study. With the prophecy that was released, Asher ventured into cutting the album, doing the concert and studying wisely to complete all he needed to complete by June. What was so amazing is that before he actually completed his Grade 12, he was already accepted into Dallas Baptist University! He received his graduation through the on-line graduation ceremony by his on-line AO Academy in May 2015 even before his completion of grade 12. The Americans start their school year usually in August. However, Asher had been starting his school year in January every year. So for him to complete most of his Grade 12 work by end of April qualified him to graduate in May. This is totally amazing! He completed all of his Grade 12 however in June 2015 and his graduation certificate arrived in July. He left for USA in August 2015, according to the revelation I received from God on January 2015. He also cut an album and did a concert in July 2015 before leaving to further his studies. For Paul and myself, that was an outstanding achievement that’s only possible because God’s hand was upon him. We are eternally grateful to our Senior Pastor, Pastor Chew and the SIBKL church council for being so supportive and encouraging to Asher in his education. We are also grateful to Ramesh Rudd and Denise Rudd for mentoring him and continually being an encouragement to Asher. Of course Mathew Philippose, my brother & his wife Jenny and all their four children had been such a blessing to Asher. We are so thankful and in deep gratitude to Dr. Benjamin George and Jaya for being an encouragement to us in home -schooling. It is amazing how they homeschooled all their 8 children. Oh yes, we are very thankful to my sisters Susan Philippose and Aleyamma and her family for being a great help to us, in our time of need. This was the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecies that God gave Asher through the mouth of Pastor Julius Suubi, Pastor Thomas Cherian, Pastor Paul Ang and myself. Dear Friends, the bible says Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper:’ (2 Chron.20:20b)
