We are entering into a season where the Wind of God is bringing many changes in the political, economic, financial, social and spiritual arenas. God is shaking the nations of the earth. The political, financial and spiritual landscapes of the nations are being transformed and reformed as a result of the effect of the ‘Wind of Change’ orchestrated by the Holy Spirit.
God Almighty is the One who changes the times and seasons. The Spirit of God is brooding over communities, cities and nations.
In Genesis 7, we read how God judged the whole earth in Noah’s time with a great flood. Noah and his family were the only 8 survivors of this global calamity. It must have been an awesome feeling to be alive and afloat when all other living and non-living things were overran by the waters. A sense of jubilation and celebration could have turned into mourning and depression as friends, relatives, the community and familiar surroundings were all wiped out!
Life in the Ark went on. It must have been quite a thrill to collect chicken eggs and fresh cow’s milk for breakfast. Imagine, having the same menu for meals everyday for over a month. Anyone flying in an aeroplane for the first time must be excited and astonished to be floating in the air and enjoying the hospitality of the airline. It is fine if the flight is around 10 hours or in extreme cases, 18 hours but imagine flying for a month without any sign of landing! Well, you have some idea how Noah and family must have felt in the Cruise Ark for 5 months or 150 days to be precise according to Genesis 7:24

And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.
What brought the change within one day?
NKJ Genesis 8:1
Then God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.
God remembered Noah and his family and all the living creatures in the Ark. The time of waiting was over, God caused a wind to blow and the water finally subsided!
Within 24 hour or less, the whole landscape changed! The wind of God truly must be something marvellous to bring about such a dramatic and instant transformation.
NKJ Exodus 10:13
So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night. When it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
NKJ Exodus 10:19
And the LORD turned a very strong west wind, which took the locusts away and blew them into the Red Sea. There remained not one locust in all the territory of Egypt.
God caused an east wind to bring locusts to the Egyptians within a day. Judgement fell on the whole nation as locusts swarmed the whole land of Egypt except Goshen, where the Israelites dwelled which was divinely protected. On the same token, when Pharaoh seemed to have repented, God sent a west wind to remove the locusts as quickly as they appeared.
NKJ Numbers 11:31
Now a wind went out from the LORD, and it brought quail from the sea and left them fluttering near the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and about a day’s journey on the other side, all around the camp, and about two cubits above the surface of the ground.
God brought quails from the sea. I thought only fishes came from the sea. Well, God has not lost His creative power to create again! This time it was quails from the sea brought by the courtesy of the wind for the breaking of meat fast after being fed with Manna for a period of time. Imagine 3 feet of quails at one day’s journey to the east and to the west.
Valley of dry Bones
NKJ Ezekiel 37:
1 The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.
3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord GOD, You know.”
4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!
5 ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
6 “I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD.” ‘ “
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.
8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ‘ “
10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’
12 “Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 “Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves.
Let us journey from the sea to the valley, not Silicon Valley but the valley of Dry Bones. Prophet Ezekiel was taken by the Spirit to experience and discern what should be done.
Valley of dry bones could represent a situation that is hopeless and impossible to salvage. The valley is very dry and full of death simply because of lack of water and life. Lack seems to be a word that conjures fear, hopelessness and despondency. Lack could also mean lack of friends, helpers, opportunities, open doors, blessings, favour and honour. You may have your own list describing your own crisis and calamity.
Firstly, God asked Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones. It sure sounded ridiculous – speaking to and addressing dead and dry objects like bones. Do they have ears to hear? Certainly not from a natural standpoint!
What an object lesson for us to learn. We are entering into a season where God is challenging us to prophesy to our negative circumstances, our cities and nations. That which was lifeless and hopeless began to respond to Ezekiel’s declarations.
We believe we must prophesy as well as decree and declare like Ezekiel in the realm of the spirit regarding our nations’ transformations.
Secondly, in verse 9, Ezekiel was instructed by God to prophesy to the Breath and the 4 winds of God.
Thirdly, Ezekiel also prophesied to the house of Israel!
The Final Outcome
The Wind of God caused the valley of Dry Bones to be reformed and transformed into a great army. What was dry, dead and useless became revived and useful. The hopeless and lifeless bones became a great force to be reckoned with!
There is hope in the worst situations of our lives. There is hope for nations that seem to be ungodly and anti-Christian.
Uganda
Many of us can remember vividly the times and season during the reign of Idi Amin in Uganda. Thousands were massacred. The nation’s wealth was plundered. The oppressive regime under Idi Amin seemed to hold the upper hand. If you were in Uganda then and praying for the nation, I wonder what would have crossed your mind?
Imagine the thoughts that would have crossed Ezekiel’s mind as he pondered what would become of the dry bones in the valley. Praise God! Today Uganda has a great population of Christians. The gospel of the kingdom has incredibly impacted and influenced Uganda as a nation.
Sweden
I was ministering in Sweden Arken church in Sweden several months ago. There was a prophetess from Alaska called Mary Glaziar. Mary was testifying how for many years she and a group of intercessors had been praying for Alaska to be the first Christian state in the United States. Recently Alaska had a tremendous breakthrough.
For the first time in the history of Alaska, it has a born-again Christian woman as a Governor. She is no other than Palin, who at this time of my writing, is running for the Vice-Presidential office of the USA. Who would have fathomed or thought this was possible?
Closer to home, we have a particular politician who was charged and imprisoned for 2 years. This same politician today is a Chief Minister of a wealthy state in Malaysia.
God’s wind of change brought Joseph from the prison to the palace within a day. My friend, God can do it again in your life!
Expect the wind of change to blow upon your community, city and nation. When darkness surrounds the earth, God’s light and glory will shine much brighter.
Expect the wind of change to come upon your valley of dry bones. Do NOT give up hope.
In Christ the hopeless has hope! Christ in you the Hope of Glory!
